NWPS event #2 recap
NEWS RELEASE

By Justin Bernik

Being that this event was only beginner and rookie due to lack of Novice Teams thanks to the lovely weather we have been having... this is the Recap!

Event #2 for the NWPS started off to a great start being inside the DangerZone Indoor Facilities, it was guaranteed dry, guaranteed a little warmer, and guaranteed fun games. Well CDR delivered, beginners began their day with 6 teams and went to play each team i believe 3 times each and no finals, this division is looking a little promising for next years rookies Notorious out of TacomaPaintball.com came out with the will to win, and proved it followed by a group of people out of Operation paintball in Graham, and then some other team from up north out of MT Vernon, all teams played with vigorous ambition. Reffing was amazing for this event, as it seems they will keep on doing for the rest of the year. The Paint shot great, many teams shot the INK'd paint, which was doing perfect IMHO, but back to the beginner division, as the day started no rookie teams had to be there until later in the day so the beginners could play, and then the rookies piled in and got set up and helped out some beginner teams if they could.

On to Rookie division 3, PTN came out strong this event, truly they became the team to beat early on, Pablo Estakado started the day off right with a run through on DBS OTC to take a few players, this run through was and i feel remains to be the pace allot of Rookies came with. As teams began to walk the field, every player discovered the Dorito would remain to be a God Bunker and also noticed the field was wide, and extremely open feeling and looking. as games began for the day teams fell into their groove and were very well informed of their games on time and everything thanks to Ethan for that. well Reffing as always was impeccable, the penalties were assessed fairly, and the calls were quick, as teams fought their way through the 8 games of prelims, it became obvious this wasn't no landslide event, teams were gonna fight and have to prove their worth. upon entering finals, DBS's OTC, PTN, Malicious Intent,, Rude awakening, Oregon Reign, and Lethal, all prepared for the uphill battle, with Rude Awakening taking 1st place, Malicious intent taking 2nd, and PTN taking 3rd followed by OTC... either way this was a great event, and i will definitely be at the next one...

thanks for the cleats halfway through!
